Hugh van Cutsem
Hugh is Co-founding Partner of Kepler Partners and Head of Investment Trusts. Prior to starting the business he created and led the investment company department of Smiths CA Ltd, where he worked for 4 years. Hugh built up a large and diverse client base of closed end funds.
He was directly involved in raising over £350m through both IPOs and C share issues for investment company clients during 2006/7, almost exclusively from private client fund managers. Hugh started his career at Cazenove in 1997, working on the Investment Company sales and sales trading desk for 7 years.
William Heathcoat Amory
William is Managing Partner and leads the Investment Trust Research business via Kepler Trust Intelligence. William has over 20 years of experience as an Investment Company analyst. Prior to co-founding Kepler Partners in 2008, he was part of the Extel number 1 rated research team at JPMorgan Cazenove.
Tom Trotter
Tom is Partner and Global Head of Sales, he joined Kepler at launch in April 2008. Prior to Kepler he worked for Bedlam Asset Management from 2005 – 2008 as director of sales for the UK and Europe. During this time he was instrumental in growing the firm’s assets from £25m to £600m at the peak. Prior to this Tom worked for a city headhunting firm specialising in investment management from 2002 – 2005.
Georg Reutter, CFA
Georg is Partner and Head of Asset Management at Kepler Partners. Georg has over 15 years of industry experience and prior to Kepler worked as a Hedge Fund Adviser for HSBC’s Alternative Investment Group. Whilst there he focused on single and multi-manager Hedge Fund due diligence, portfolio management and client advisory. His responsibilities included evaluation, analysis and advising on hedge fund portfolios investing in offshore, listed, multi-manager and UCITS funds primarily for UK based investors.
Matthew Barrett, CAIA
Matt is Partner and Head of UCITS Fund Research at Kepler Partners where his primary responsibility is the research and analysis of alternative UCITS funds. Matthew works closely with our advisory clients and sits on the Kepler Investment Committee. Prior to joining Kepler Partners, Matthew worked for HSBC Private Bank on the Investment Advisory desk. Whilst there he focused on client advisory and portfolio management, and his responsibilities included fund evaluation and analysis and portfolio construction. Before joining HSBC he worked for Baillie Gifford in Edinburgh. Matthew is a CAIA Charter Holder.
Pascal Dowling
Pascal is Partner and Head of Digital at Kepler Partners. He is responsible for digital sales, marketing and communications for the business and runs Kepler Trust Intelligence, an online research hub for professional and private investors which he launched when he joined in January 2015. Prior to joining Kepler Partners, Pascal managed retail fund research website FE Trustnet, one of the UK’s largest investment research websites, for ten years. Pascal started his career sixteen years ago as a financial journalist, and has written extensively about investment trusts and other investments for the trade and national press.
Ailsa Prestige
Ailsa joined Kepler Partners in September 2021 to assist both the Investment Trust sales and research teams. Before joining Kepler, she was a Senior Account Executive at Engine MHP, a multi-disciplinary communications agency, where she worked in the Capital Markets team. Ailsa read History at Newcastle University.
Alan Ray
Alan is an Investment Trust analyst and joined Kepler in October 2022. He has worked in the Investment Companies sector for 25 years and has held leadership positions in research and corporate broking.
Alexander Ellerby, CFA
Alex joined Kepler Partners in September 2019 as a fund research analyst covering the alternative UCITS space. His primary responsibilities include the quantitative and qualitative analysis of absolute return strategies as well as supporting our advisory relationships. Prior to Kepler, Alex worked at QIC Global, focusing on performance attribution and portfolio reporting, as well as previously working at Waverton Investment Management. Alex graduated from Newcastle University in 2016 with a BA in Politics. Alex is a CFA Charterholder.
Alexander Field
Alex joined the Investment Trust Sales desk at Kepler Partners in August 2022. Prior to joining, Alex was on the Asset Services team at True Potential Investments, where he handled the corporate actions affecting their distributed funds and equities. After growing up in Malaysia, he graduated in 2021 with an LLB (Hons) in Law from Northumbria University, changing trajectory throughout which after writing a dissertation exploring Collateralised Debt Obligations and financial regulation post-2008. He plans to begin the CFA in 2023.
Alice Rigby
Alice joined Kepler Partners in July 2018 as Marketing Manager. She was previously Head of Content at financial services communications specialist KL Communications, after working in investment communications for Hermes Investment Management. Alice began her career as an asset management correspondent at trade publication Investment Week, where she was responsible for the investment trust beat.
Andreas Valanides
Andreas is a Research Analyst on the Emerging Markets team, joining Kepler in January 2021. Prior to Kepler, Andreas was at Sloane Robinson working directly with Ed Butchart. Andreas joined Sloane Robinson in 2017 post-graduation from the London School of Economics with a MSc in Finance.
Anjula Andersson
Anjula is Head of Sales for UK and Ireland and joined Kepler Partners in August 2016 . Prior to joining, she worked for JP Morgan Asset Management focusing primarily on distributing funds to National Discretionary Fund Managers. She has also previously held sales positions at Legg Mason Asset Management where she worked for 5 years, UBS Global Asset Management and Fidelity International. Anjula graduated from Queen Mary University of London with a BSc in Mathematics.

Chloe Hunt
Chloe joined Kepler in August 2020 in the Funds Operations team. Prior to joining, Chloe worked for Deloitte in their Risk Advisory team for two years, focusing on the financial sector and Energy and Resources sector. Chloe also previously worked as an analyst in the investment team at a private wealth management firm for over two years. Chloe graduated from the University of Queensland (Australia), with dual bachelor’s degrees in Commerce and Business Management.
Courtney Jevons
Courtney joined Kepler Partners in May 2019 as Office Manager. Prior to joining, Courtney was a PA at a public relations firm specialising in both corporate and luxury services. Courtney graduated from the University of the West of England in 2012 with a BA in History.
David Kimberley
David is an investment writer for Kepler Trust Intelligence. Prior to joining Kepler Partners, he helped build the communications and editorial team at Freetrade, a retail stockbroker, and worked as a financial journalist in the Middle East. David has a BA in history from University College London.
Diana Martey
Diana is a Chief Operating Officer for the Asset Management business. Prior to joining Kepler in February 2018, she worked for Amiya Capital LLP as Deputy COO where she was responsible for all non-investment decision making across the firm, delivering in the key areas of Fund Oversight, Risk, Audit & Compliance. Before joining Amiya LLP, Diana held a variety of roles within the Middle Office function of the Alternative Services division at RBC Investor Services. Diana holds a Masters’ degree in Finance from the London School of Economics and she is a Charted Alternative Investment Analyst Charterholder.
Ed Butchart, CFA
Ed is CIO of the Emerging Markets team and joined Kepler in January 2021. Prior to Kepler, Ed was CIO at Sloane Robinson, a leading Emerging Markets hedge fund where he managed their Emerging Markets strategy from 2011-2020. Prior to Sloane Robinson, Ed managed his own Emerging Markets advisory business, Gemstrat Advisory from 2008-2011. Ed was a portfolio manager at Moore Capital from 2004-2008 and started his professional career with Merrill Lynch as an Emerging Markets Strategist from 1997-2004. Ed has Doctorate in Economics/Economic History from St. John’s College and Nuffield College, Oxford and was a Junior Research Fellow at Merton College, Oxford from 1995-97. Ed holds the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing as well as being a CFA charterholder.
Edward Mortimer
Edward joined the investment trust sales team at Kepler in January 2022. Prior to joining, he worked as an Investment Manager at Killik & Co, focussing on the running of discretionary, multi-asset portfolios for a range of retail and institutional style clients, whilst supporting in the management of an advisory client base. Before joining Killik & Co, Edward completed various internships, and placements, across the asset management industry, with firms including Lazard Asset Management, Brown Advisory and Mirabaud Asset Management where he spent time with the institutional and intermediary sales, global equities, and fixed income teams. Edward is an Associate member of CISI and has completed Level I of the CAIA Charter; he is working towards attaining the full charter.

Emily Barleycorn
Emily joined the UCITS Operations team at Kepler Partners in may 2021. She graduated from the University of Manchester with a BA in Russian Studies. Since graduating and prior to joining Kepler Partners, Emily has held positions in Equity Settlements and Exotic Derivatives Trade Support teams.
Gabor Topa
Prior to Joining Kepler in November 2021 , Gabor worked for Invesco Germany where he was a local risk officer and led the local risk function responsible for all risk related regulatory matters and the daily investment risk oversight for approximately 30bn EUR AuM. Before joining Invesco, Gabor held a variety of roles within the risk management function of buy-side firms. Gabor was also working as a financial engineer for a risk measurement platform developed by IBM Algorithmic. He graduated from Goethe University Frankfurt in 2012 with a Masters’ degree in Money and Finance. Gabor has also earned the FRM designation.
Henrietta Boag
Henrietta joined Kepler Partners in February 2019 as a Sales Director focusing on developing relationships with UK based clients and Global Private Banks. Prior to joining, she worked for Wellington Management for 5 years focusing primarily on distributing funds to Global Private Banks and UK based clients. She has also previously held Alternatives sales positions at Merian Global Investors (formerly Old Mutual Global Investors) and CrossBorder Capital. Henrietta graduated from Newcastle University with LLB (Hons) in Law.

Henrietta Torrance
Henrietta joined Kepler Partners in July 2019 as an Executive Assistant with focus on both the Investment Trusts research and direct marketing teams. Prior to joining Kepler, she was a member of senior management at a well-established NHS primary care provider for six years in which she has gained a wealth of experience in small to medium-sized business. Henrietta read Biology at the University of Nottingham.

Hugo Rynsard-Perry
Hugo joined the Investment Trust Sales team at Kepler in October 2016. Prior to joining he worked on the Investment Trust Sales desk at Henderson Global Investors, focusing on discretionary and institutional clients in the UK. Before joining Henderson, he worked for Greenbrook Communications, advising hedge fund and private equity clients on new product launches and ongoing investor and media communications. Hugo graduated from University College London with a BA in History.

Katie Sellors
Katie joined Kepler Partners in September 2022 as Office Manager. Prior to joining, Katie has had an extensive career within office operations, most recently as Operations Manager within real estate investment. Katie graduated from Roehampton University in 2009 with a BA in Dance Studies.
Lukas Klasen, CAIA
Lukas joined Kepler Partners in January 2019. He works very closely with his colleagues responsible for business development and investor communication for Continental European markets. In addition, Lukas supports the fund research team and event organisation activities of the firm. Lukas graduated with a BSc in International Business Administration from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management.
Marisa Ciccarello
Marisa joined Kepler Partners in September 2019 as Events & Marketing Executive. Prior to joining, Marisa was Marketing Associate at Tages Capital. Marisa graduated from the University of Salford in 2008 with a BA Hons in European Languages.
Neil Deacon
Neil joined Kepler Partners LLP in December 2022 as Compliance Manager. Prior to joining, Neil has gained over 24 years’ experience in financial services, predominantly spent with wealth management firms, Raymond James and Brooks Macdonald. Most recently he worked for Harbour Solutions Group, a litigation funder and was responsible for compliance with regulatory and industry best practices. Neil is a compliance professional, holding several financial services qualifications, as well as being a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (Chartered MCSI).
Niccolo Caucci
Prior to joining Kepler Partners, Niccolo worked for Hedge Invest as fund research analyst. Whilst there, he focused on manager selection for multi-manager Hedge Fund portfolios. His responsibilities included manager assessment, analysis, due diligence and on-going monitoring of invested strategies. Niccolo graduated from University of Amsterdam in 2014 with a MSc in Business Economics.
Nicholas Todd
Nicholas is an Investment Trust Research Analyst and joined Kepler in May 2022. Previously he was an Investment Analyst at a discretionary fund manager, where he was responsible for fund selection and asset allocation for a range of multi-asset model portfolios. He has a degree in Financial Economics with Econometrics degree from the University of Kent and Masters in Investment and Finance from Queen Mary, University of London.
Patrick Christiansen
Patrick is a Research Analyst on the Emerging Markets team, joining Kepler in January 2021. Prior to Kepler, Patrick was an Analyst at Sloane Robinson for 4 years working directly with Ed Butchart. Patrick joined Sloane Robinson in 2016 and has a degree in Finance from Cass Business School.
Rachel Jones
Rachel is a qualified Management Accountant and joined Keplar Partners in July 2022. She started her finance career 19 years ago, most recently spending 8 years at Jupiter Asset Management predominantly during a period of growth, where her key projects included setting up new overseas entities and management companies and the acquisition of Merian Global Investors. She was also responsible for overseeing the month end accounting and reporting processes. Prior to this, Rachel’s experience is in the insurance industry.
Reece Anderson
Reece joined Kepler Partners in January 2023 as a team assistant dedicated to the UCITS team. Prior to joining Kepler, she worked at Redhedge Asset Management and has 7 years’ experience in office support roles.
Rohit Agarwal
Rohit is a Research Analyst on the Emerging Markets team, joining Kepler in January 2021. Rohit joined from Sloane Robinson where he worked with Ed Butchart on the Emerging markets strategy. Prior to Sloane Robinson he worked at Lansdowne Partners, Pictet Asset Management and JP Morgan, all in buy-side roles. Rohit started his career in 2004 on the sell-side, initially at Sanford Bernstein and then UBS. He has a degree in Philosophy and Economics from the London School of Economics.
Roland Schulz
Roland joined Kepler Partners in August 2015. He is responsible for the business development activities for Continental European markets. Before Kepler, Roland initiated and built the international marketing and sales activities at Aquila Capital. He previously worked at Amundi and Paribas, attending to institutional clients needs for close to 20 years within the asset management industry.
Rosemary Browne
Rosemary has had a career of over 20 years within finance administration and joined Kepler Partners in 2021 as an Accounts Assistant.
Ryan Lightfoot-Aminoff
Ryan joined Kepler in August 2022 as an investment trust research analyst. Prior to this, he spent seven years as a senior research analyst at Chelsea Financial Services where he worked on fund selection for their retail clients and on their multi-asset fund range. He holds an MSc in Finance & BA in Accounting & Finance from the University of the West of England.
Steven Cole
Prior to joining Kepler in November 2021, Steven was Operations Manager at Garraway Capital Management LLP and Stratton Street Capital LLP, two Investment Management firms within the same group of companies. Steven had operational oversight of all funds under management across the group, covering a wide range of equity, fixed income, CTA and multi asset products. Steven has also held middle and back-office positions within US Bancorp Fund Services Ltd and completed an internship at Citco Financial Products. Steven graduated from the University of Surrey with BSc First Class Honours in Business Management.
Thomas McMahon, CFA
Thomas is a senior Investment Trust analyst and joined Kepler in April 2018. Previously he was senior analyst at FE Invest, where he was responsible for fund selection for a range of model portfolios. He covered all asset classes over time but has particular experience with emerging markets and fixed income as well as UK smaller companies’ funds. He has a degree in Philosophy from Warwick University and is a CFA charter holder.
